Hugo. I only have eyes for you.

Meet Hugo
Hugo is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog learning to do some of the things Swissies were bred for: at two years old he's started packing and next year (when his bones have stopped growing) he'll learn how to pull a cart. This year he's also been learning obedience and some tricks including "shake" (which really resembles a high-five), a truly deafening "speak", and and adorable "whisper". He's keen to learn roll over but requires a big room in the house— he's longer than his owner's couch when he sprawls out, and coordination isn't one of his strong suits.
Hugo has only been to the beach twice, but Manzanita is his go-to spot and he loves to run and play in the sand. Typically he plays at east Multnomah County dog parks and walks the Tilikum Crossing Bridge in Portland.
His favorite toy is his big red jolly-ball on a rope: he grabs it by the knot and gallops around the yard, clocking himself in the head with it as he goes.
His favorite food is PetSmart's Simply Nourish Large Breed, but he also gets a little cooked beef liver or chicken gizzards on top. He also loves watermelon and frozen strawberries, and would probably sell his own soul for chunky peanut butter.
Blue eyes are an occasional trait with Swissies and his owners fell in love with his adorable derpy face as soon as they saw him.
